Funding

It requires substantial maintenance from time to time and the costs of things like roof and floor repairs cannot be met out of hiring charges. The Hall relies for assistance for funding such work on outside bodies.

Thorpe Parish Council have contributed funds for the purchase of a stage in 2004, for repairs to the roof at the rear of the hall in 2009 and the provision of a hearing loop in 2010.

Derbyshire Dales District Council have supported the trustees with assistance in building the kitchen extension in 1992, re-roofing the main building in 1997, with repairs to the roof at the rear of the hall in 2009 and the provision of a hearing loop in 2010.

The Dovedale Dash has provided funding of ??? since 1988
